FAQ

Buy Gold for Standoff 2: packs, the Breakout Battle Pass and Golden Tickets

Standoff 2 is a mobile team-based tactical shooter from Axlebolt, a studio founded in Kazan in 2014 that now operates from four offices โ€” Kazan, Limassol, Dubai and Almaty โ€” with a team of more than 200 people. The legal entity is Cyprus-based Axlebolt Ltd., but the development team and the audience remain CIS-centric, which is why the game leans hard on Russian localisation, regional tournaments and a January-to-December calendar of CIS events. The shooter launched on Android in 2017 and on iOS in 2018, has crossed 300 million installs and is the largest mobile tactical shooter in the CIS region. Gold is the premium currency that funds cases, the marketplace, knife and glove skins and the Battle Pass.

  • Premium Cases with knives and gloves โ€” Gold only, never Coins
  • Activation of the seasonal Battle Pass in-game for 1,200 Gold
  • Marketplace โ€” the only currency for player-to-player trades
  • One-way conversion to Coins at a fixed 10:100 rate
  • Custom "cool-looking ID" purchase and agent cosmetics
  • Golden Tickets for limited collectible draws

Gold and Coins: two currencies and a one-way street

Standoff 2 runs two currencies in parallel and confusing them in your wallet is an expensive mistake. Gold is bought with real money and pays for everything that holds value: premium Cases, the marketplace, the Battle Pass, store skins and loadout cosmetics. Coins (often called Silver in the community) come from matches, rewarded ads, missions and the fixed-rate conversion of 10 Gold to 100 Coins. Coins only buy basic boxes with low-rarity drops; the marketplace and the knife/glove Cases reject them outright. There is no reverse conversion from Coins to Gold โ€” the flow is one-directional, and accumulated Silver never turns back into Gold. It is worth sizing the first Gold pack to your goal up front rather than "routing through Coins" hoping to convert later.

Battle Pass: 270 levels and a rare in-game purchase option

The seasonal Battle Pass anchors long-term progression. The free track runs for 45 levels and grants around 675 Coins, ten basic boxes, a bronze medallion, a few graffiti and a temporary knife skin for the season. The paid Gold Pass unlocks the full 270-level ladder with limited gloves, season-themed weapon collections, stickers, charms and crafting fragments. The base price is 899 RUB or 1,200 Gold inside the store. Paying for the pass with the Gold you have already saved up is a rare option in mobile shooters โ€” HoYoverse titles, for example, sell their pass for cash only โ€” and it makes Gold a more universal currency in Standoff 2. After level 300 each additional level pays out three Fragment Boxes, feeding the crafting loop. Skipping a season is genuinely costly: the rewards never return to the shop and only resurface on the marketplace at premium prices.

Cases and Boxes: drop rates, fragments and no pity

Axlebolt publishes the rarity odds in its public Knowledge Base, which is a refreshing degree of transparency. Paid Cases bought with Gold drop Rare 53%, Epic 30%, Legendary 15% and Arcane 2%. Basic Boxes bought with Coins run on a much harsher curve: Common 56.78%, Uncommon 37.85%, Rare 3.79%, Epic 1.42%, Legendary 0.14%, Arcane 0.02%. There is no pity system โ€” neither soft nor hard pity protects you after N openings, every roll is independent and the rates are fixed. This is a hard break from gacha RPGs like Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail, where players can grind their way to a guaranteed pull. The alternative to luck is Fragment Crafting, introduced in update 0.35.2 (Craft Syndicate): ten matching fragments of the same rarity from the same collection combine into a guaranteed skin of that rarity and collection. Ten lower-rarity fragments can also be traded up into one fragment of the next tier. Fragments drop from cases, arrive as Battle Pass rewards (three Fragment Boxes per level beyond 300) and trade for Gold on the marketplace.

Marketplace, StatTrak and buy-requests

The in-game marketplace is where skins, knives, gloves and fragments change hands between players for Gold. The seller pays a 20% commission, prices are set by supply and demand, and Axlebolt does not anchor the price of any specific item. A few details routinely catch new sellers off guard:

  • Only Gold trades on the marketplace โ€” Coins are not accepted.
  • Skins with attached charms or emblems cannot be listed; remove the attachment first.
  • The StatTrakโ„ข kill counter resets to zero on every resale, regardless of what the previous owner racked up.
  • Buy-requests let you post a buy order at your own price; if your bid is the highest standing offer, the next listing at that price ships to you even when cheaper items sit on the storefront.
  • The CS2-style float system (Factory New, Field-Tested, Battle-Scarred) does not exist in Standoff 2 โ€” skins are described purely by rarity from Common to Arcane.

Gold here behaves like in-game capital: knives and gloves hold value over the long run, can be upgraded through crafting, and can be re-listed when you want to recover Gold to your wallet. Axlebolt does not allow any cash-out โ€” the loop stays inside the game.

Golden Tickets: a separate event economy

Golden Tickets are an event-tied currency that is often confused with Gold or with the Battle Pass. They are a different product with different rules. Tickets feed special draws and prize wheels that hand out limited knives, gloves and collection skins which never appear in regular cases. Tickets do not convert into Gold and cannot be bought with Coins โ€” they are a standalone SKU tied to an active event window. The Brawl Games catalogue lists 100, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 ticket bundles precisely because the in-game shop only sells them while an event is live. If you want skins from standard collections, you need Cases bought with Gold; if you are chasing event-only rewards, you need Golden Tickets.

Ranks, the Breakout season and rank reset

The competitive ladder reads Bronze, Silver, Gold, Phoenix, Ranger, Champion, Master, Elite and The Legend. Tiers up to Champion are split into sub-ranks I to IV, while The Legend stretches across MMR 2,100 to 5,000+, with top players on third-party trackers showing tens of thousands of points. Competitive mode unlocks at account level 20 (an anti-smurf gate), Duel 1v1 at level 10 and the Allies co-op at level 15. Ten calibration matches at the start of each season set your placement, and a hidden ELO penalty applies for leaving a ranked match early. Season 11 "Breakout" launched with update 0.38 in April 2026: a new map called Prison, the new Riot mode (free-for-all with modifiers), a partial rank reset and recalibration, a redesigned menu UI and loadout customisation in the lobby. The patch was buff-only โ€” no weapon nerfs at all โ€” and gloves returned as the top-tier Battle Pass reward.

Esports: the EPIC Standoff 2 League and the Cosmo Major

Competitive Standoff 2 runs under Epic Esports Events (formerly Dreamz Media) as the EPIC Standoff 2 League. The flagship 2025 event, EPIC Standoff 2 Cosmo: Major, was an offline LAN with eight teams and a prize pool of 5,000,000 RUB. The winter online stage, New Year Bounty 2026, paid out another 1,500,000 RUB. The 2026 calendar is being announced in stages โ€” exact dates for the summer and autumn Majors are still partial as of spring. Cumulative lifetime prize money across all Standoff 2 events sits above 521,000 USD. That is below PUBG Mobile or Mobile Legends, but enough to back the description of Standoff 2 as the largest mobile tactical shooter in the CIS.

User ID, User ID and how the top-up reaches the account

The practical reality for players in regions where the official store has limited card support: direct Gold purchases through the App Store and Google Play have not worked for many users since 2022, because cards from local banks are not accepted by Apple and Google in those regions, regional Apple IDs cannot be topped up and Google Play asks for a foreign card or region. Third-party top-up by player identifier is not a grey-market workaround โ€” it is the everyday route for most CIS players. Two values are needed: the 10-digit User ID and the User ID shown in brackets next to the User ID inside the in-game profile. Without the User ID, Gold can land on the wrong region and the order has to be reissued.

  1. Open your in-game profile in Standoff 2 and copy the User ID (the value in brackets).
  2. Pick the pack you need โ€” Gold, the Battle Pass or Golden Tickets.
  3. Enter both identifiers in the order form.
  4. Re-check the data before paying โ€” once Gold is delivered the ID cannot be edited.
  5. Complete the payment and wait for Gold to land on the linked account.
