FAQ

Buy VALORANT Points (VP) for your Riot account: gift cards, skins and the Battle Pass

VALORANT is Riot Games' tactical 5v5 hero shooter, pairing precise gunplay in the Counter-Strike tradition with agent abilities. The PC version launched on 2 June 2020 and the full console release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S followed on 2 August 2024. The entire monetisation runs through one premium currency — VALORANT Points (VP): that is what buys weapon skins, the Battle Pass and event-store bundles. As of May 2026 the live content is Season 2026: Act 3, with the Insidious, Crash Out and Keys to Elysium skin lines, and that is what most VP top-ups end up funding.

  • Five skin tiers — from Select (875 VP) to Ultra (2,475 VP) per gun
  • The Act Battle Pass for 1,000 VP, ~8 weeks of progression and the Tier 50 melee
  • Conversion into Radianite Points (RP) to evolve already-owned skins
  • Buying agents in the Agent Store with VP, Kingdom Credits or Agent Unlock Tokens
  • Premium / Exclusive / Ultra bundles from event stores
  • Random 10–49% discounts on six skins in Night Market once per Act

Three currencies in VALORANT: VP vs RP vs Kingdom Credits

Unlike mobile gacha titles with a single premium currency, VALORANT runs a three-tier economy, and confusing the parts is a common rookie mistake. VALORANT Points (VP) are the only currency sold for real money — that is what funds skins, the Battle Pass and bundles. Radianite Points (RP) exist only to evolve already-owned Premium, Exclusive or Ultra skins with new VFX, colour variants, finishers and audio; they do not convert back into VP and they cannot buy the skin itself. Kingdom Credits (KC) were introduced in Episode 7: Evolution as a grind currency: 2 KC per round played, 4 KC per round won, 150 KC per Daily Checkpoint and so on. The cap is 10,000 KC, after which earnings stop until you spend. KC are not sold for real money, and Brawl Games does not list them — the catalogue is VP only.

Riot ID instead of UID: how the account identifier works

VALORANT does not use a numeric UID like HoYo titles. The identifier is the Riot ID, a GameName#TAGLINE handle (for example EarlGreyTeemo#sip): GameName is 3–16 characters, Tagline 3–5. You can rename GameName for free once every 30 days, but once a Tagline is changed it cannot be set back to a regional code such as RU, EU or NA — Riot reserves those for freshly created accounts. The Riot ID itself does not determine the account region; that is governed by the Region of Residence (RoR) tied to your declared country. Changing the RoR is only possible via a Riot Support ticket and only when you confirm a real change of country, and it wipes your current ranked season, match history and purchase history. There is a 90-day cooldown between changes, and KR↔JP transfers and moves into China are blocked at the policy level. Riot runs six live shards in total — NA, EU, KR, AP, BR and LATAM — and moving between them is only possible via an RoR change that wipes ranked progress.

Riot gift cards and the EUR ladder for the EU shard

After March 2022 the official Riot merchant stopped accepting many cards for direct VP purchases in the client, and for players in regions where the official store has limited card support, Riot gift cards in EUR became the main channel. The EUR ladder is fixed: 240 VP for 2.5€, 475 VP for 5€, 1,520 VP for 15€, 2,050 VP for 20€, 2,575 VP for 25€, 3,650 VP for 35€, 5,350 VP for 50€ and 8,700 VP for 80€. The detail people often miss: a EUR card is bound to the EU shard — it activates on accounts with Region of Residence = Europe, not on any account abstractly. In practice this rarely causes friction, since a sizeable share of the affected community has been on EU since 2022, and the EUR ladder covers most cases. If your RoR is set to a non-EU country, check the shard in your account settings before buying a code.

Skin tiers: what VP actually buys

Skin pricing is strictly fixed — no rolls, no soft pity, no banners. The tier defines the cost:

  • Select Edition — 875 VP per gun, 1,750 VP per knife. No VFX or animations, the entry-level tier.
  • Deluxe Edition — 1,275 VP per gun, 2,550 VP per knife. Simple VFX and basic audio, no RP evolution.
  • Premium Edition — 1,775 VP per gun, 3,550 VP per knife. Full VFX, audio, finisher, RP evolution and colour variants.
  • Exclusive Edition — 2,175 VP per gun, 4,350 VP per knife. Unique firing and reload animations.
  • Ultra Edition — 2,475 VP per gun, 4,950 VP per knife. Transforming finishers and signature audio (Glitchpop, Reaver, Prime, Oni Phantom).

Only Premium and above evolve — meaning extra visual variants unlocked with Radianite Points. Bundles undercut a piecewise purchase: a typical Premium bundle lands at 7,100–8,855 VP versus the sum of four guns plus a knife.

Battle Pass, Agent Recruitment and why VALORANT has no subscription

The recurring SKU is the Battle Pass: 1,000 VP per Act, 50 main tiers plus a 5-tier Epilogue with golden variants of cards, buddies and sprays. The premium track usually carries Select/Deluxe-tier skins, the Tier 50 melee, RP and cosmetics. The free track is automatically active for everyone and covers the baseline rewards. Separate from the Battle Pass, the Agent Recruitment Event is a free 28-day pass that triggers when a new agent ships — earn 200,000 XP within 28 days and the agent unlocks for free. Miss the window and the agent moves to the Agent Store, available for 8,000 Kingdom Credits, 1,000 VP or an Agent Unlock Token. VALORANT has no monthly subscription in the vein of Welkin Moon or Inter-Knot Membership: the Battle Pass is a one-off purchase per Act, not a subscription, and it does not stack.

VALORANT Mobile is China-only: what 2026 actually looks like

VALORANT Mobile (无畏契约) is a separate build by Tencent Lightspeed/TiMi that launched on 19 August 2025 and is currently available only in China. As of May 2026 the global release has not been announced — industry expectations sit somewhere in 2026, but neither Riot nor Tencent has confirmed a date, and the rumoured October 2025 window referred to the Chinese launch (which then shifted to August). The mobile version is a standalone product with its own economy: VP from a PC account does not transfer, and Riot gift cards do not work for the mobile client. Buying VP through Brawl Games means topping up the PC and console version, not the Chinese mobile build.

Platforms and Vanguard: no Linux, Mac or Steam Deck

VALORANT runs on Windows 10/11, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and a single Riot Account gives you cross-save progression across all three. There is, however, no PC↔Console crossplay — Riot keeps that line drawn deliberately to preserve the balance between mouse-and-keyboard and gamepad; PS5 and Xbox Series players match together but never against PC. The Vanguard anti-cheat runs at kernel level on Windows, and that is why VALORANT cannot launch on Linux, the Steam Deck through Proton/Wine, or natively on macOS. Vanguard 2 for Mac has been announced, but as of 2026 it covers only League of Legends — there is no VALORANT Mac date. VP purchased in-game on a specific platform stays bound to that platform's wallet; a Riot gift card, on the other hand, activates onto the Riot Account itself and is available wherever cross-save reaches.

Night Market, Premier and the 2026 season structure

From 2025 Riot dropped the Episode format: a Year is now one Season made of 6 Acts of about 8 weeks each, aligned with the calendar year. As of May 2026 the live content is Season 2026: Act 3 (29 April – 24 June 2026), with the Insidious, Crash Out and Keys to Elysium skin lines — the Tier 50 melee for the pass is a dual-blade with variants. Once per Act, Riot opens Night Market: a ~2–3 week window in which the account receives six random skins from the Select/Deluxe/Premium tiers released no later than two Acts ago, at 10–49% off. The previous window ran 26 March – 16 April 2026, and the next one is expected in May–June within Act 3. Separately there is Premier, the PC-only competitive team mode with six divisions from Open up to Invite — Invite winners qualify into the Challengers leagues, the formal pipeline into the VCT system.

How to place a top-up on Brawl Games

  1. Open your Riot account and check the Region of Residence — EUR cards need an EU shard.
  2. Pick a VP denomination from the catalogue: 240 to 8,700 VP on the EUR ladder.
  3. Provide your Riot ID (GameName#TAGLINE) and confirm the account region.
  4. Review the data on the checkout screen and complete payment.
  5. Redeem the code in the Riot client or on the website — VP land on the Riot Account and become available across every cross-save platform.

Adjacent titles in the catalogue

  • League of Legends — Riot's flagship MOBA, sharing the same Riot Account and gift-card line: a single EUR card tops up RP in LoL and VP in VALORANT.
  • Counter-Strike 2 — the direct competitor in the tactical 5v5 niche with round-based weapon buys; the skin economy goes through the Steam Marketplace, but the audience overlaps heavily.
  • Marvel Rivals — a hero shooter with unique character abilities and a paid Battle Pass, the closest neighbour in the "hero kit + cosmetics" design space, even if the format is team PvP.

The Brawl Games catalogue covers all eight VP denominations on the EUR ladder, from 240 up to 8,700, sized for accounts on the EU shard where most of the affected community has been since 2022. Payment is accepted from Russia and the CIS, and checkout requires the Riot ID plus the account region. The on-site chat is available before checkout for questions about a specific denomination or a code's activation.
