• Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — $22.99/month (down from $29.99). 500+ games, day-one, EA Play, Ubisoft+ Classics, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Fortnite Crew with its monthly 1,000 V-Bucks pack, in-game benefits in Riot titles (LoL, Valorant), Microsoft Rewards bonus.

What Microsoft removed in exchange: day-one for future Call of Duty

The price cut on Ultimate ($29.99 to $22.99) and PC Game Pass ($16.49 to $13.99) cost subscribers one of the most-cited perks. From 21 April 2026 new Call of Duty entries no longer launch day-one on Game Pass: they hit Ultimate and PC Game Pass during the next holiday season, roughly a year after release. Black Ops 7, which shipped on 14 November 2025, was the final day-one CoD on Ultimate — anyone who started a subscription before the April policy change caught it inside the library. What Ubisoft+ Classics actually adds to Ultimate

October 2025 added Ubisoft+ Classics as a separate shelf inside Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — a Far Cry, Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs back catalogue without a separate Ubisoft Connect subscription. This is not full Ubisoft+ Premium with day-one releases — that remains a paid product — but the entry-level Ubisoft tier that previously sat behind its own paywall. All conversions round up to a whole day. The trap to know about: if Ultimate is already active, adding a Premium, PC or EA Play code switches to a dollar-based conversion using the price ratio rather than the time ratio — and the day count comes out noticeably lower. To get the full time conversion, Ultimate has to expire first, then the lower-tier code redeems. Players who pre-stack a year of Ultimate and pile a Premium code on top routinely lose weeks this way.

Xbox Gift Card vs Game Pass: two different SKUs
