Buy Black Crystals for Black Clover M: packs, Skill Pages and the current server status
Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King is a turn-based anime gacha RPG based on Yūki Tabata's manga, developed by Korean studio Vic Game Studios (a Pearl Abyss subsidiary) on Unreal Engine 4. Publishers were split by region: Garena International II ran the global server from 30 November 2023, Pearl Abyss JP handled Japan and Vic Game Studios self-published in Korea. As of May 2026 the picture has changed completely: the Garena global server shut down on 21 August 2025, the Japanese server closed a day earlier and the Korean one followed in the same wave. The only live build today is the Chinese version launched in late 2025 by a new operator — per BCM News on 5 August 2025, this is explicitly "not the same dev team" — and it is unavailable outside mainland China.

Garena pulled the plug on the global server at 02:00 UTC-5 on 21 August 2025. Pearl Abyss JP closed the Japanese build a day earlier, and Vic Game Studios shut the Korean version in the same window. The last global content patch landed on 26 June 2025 — a tie-in with the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, two new mages and a closing event. You cannot log into a global, KR or JP account in May 2026. If a purchase you are planning targets one of those regions, the top-up is not deliverable; the on-site chat is the right place to confirm which build the order is meant for before payment.
Premium vs Free Black Crystals: the split that matters
Inside the game the premium currency was tracked as two separate buckets: Premium Black Crystals bought with real money and Free Black Crystals earned from events, missions and achievements. They spent down together and looked like one wallet, but the books were always kept apart. That split became decisive at shutdown: Garena allowed players to migrate Premium Black Crystals only to other Garena titles (Free Fire and others), with the transfer window open between 21 August and 25 September 2025. Free Black Crystals, unfinished battle passes, summon tickets and collection items were wiped without compensation. The migration window is closed, and any offer to "recover" those balances after October 2025 is fiction.
Skill Pages: the second gacha that gates SSR power
The defining mechanical wrinkle in Black Clover M, missing from Genshin, Honkai and most genre peers, is the Skill Pages system. On top of pulling for mages themselves, you pull on separate banners for grimoire spell pages, and without the right Skill Pages even an SSR mage runs at a fraction of their ceiling. Those banners come with their own pity counters, their own summon tickets and their own demand on the Black Crystals wallet. In practice that doubles the budget for any new featured banner: 200 pulls on the character, plus another stretch toward pity on the key spell page. The 200-pull hard pity itself was cut down from an original 340 after community pushback — and it applies to both character and Skill Page banners.
Magic Knights, roles and the Action Gauge
Teams take a minimum of four units, and players freely mix mages from the canon's nine Magic Knight squads: Black Bulls (Asta, Yami), Golden Dawn (Yuno, William Vangeance), Silver Eagles (Nozel Silva), Crimson Lions, Green Mantis, Coral Peacocks, Azure Deer, Blue Rose Knights and Purple Orcas. There are no faction locks — the squad of origin is flavour, not a roster gate. Each character fills one of five roles — Attacker, Defender, Supporter, Debuffer, Healer — and belongs to an elemental type that follows a rock-paper-scissors triangle. Combat is turn-based, with order resolved through an Action Gauge tied to each mage's SPD stat. While the global server was live, the endgame loop ran on real-time 4v4 PvP Arena ranked seasons, the Infinite Tower (which effectively requires a healer), Gateway of Destiny and Story dungeons that follow the anime's arcs. The cinematic ultimate cut-ins — Yami's Dimensional Slash, Asta's Black Asta form — leaned on Unreal Engine 4, an unusually heavy choice for a 2023 gacha RPG.
Recurring packs, Talent Carving and the Lobster Pack
The Black Clover M storefront ran a few SKUs that benefit from a translation. Daily / Weekly / Monthly Summon Pack 1–4 are not auto-renewing subscriptions but one-time purchases on a frequency cap that resets every 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days. Limited Return Pack 1–3 are comeback offers that unlock after a period of inactivity (usually 14–30 days) and never appear for fresh accounts. Special Talent Carved Pack ships materials for the Talent Carving system that engraves passive upgrades on a character — a progression mechanic, not a tie-in to the anime's "magic talents". Change Gear Stats Pack and Accessory option change Pack are reroll items that bypass the equipment RNG and are only useful at endgame. The Lobster Pack is the in-house meme bundle nodding to Charmy's appetite — a daily-cap booster pack rather than anything mechanical.
The manga finale and why interest is back in 2026
The Yūki Tabata manga ended on 1 May 2026 with chapter 392 after eleven years in Weekly Shōnen Jump; the final volume 38 ships on 4 August 2026, and a new Studio Pierrot anime season is announced for winter 2026. The franchise's send-off has put the mobile spin-off back in conversations, but global, KR and JP servers cannot be reopened to receive a top-up. The game never shipped a Russian localisation either — the supported languages were EN, JP, ES-MX, PT-BR, DE, FR, TW-Chinese, TH and ID — so Black Crystals have no official Russian name, only community slang.
