FAQ

Buy Echoes for Identity V: packs, monthly packages and UID-based delivery

Identity V is NetEase's asymmetrical 1v4 mobile horror — one Hunter chases four Survivors who decode five cipher machines and try to escape through the gates. The game launched on the Chinese market on 2 April 2018 and went global on 5 July 2018; it runs on iOS, Android and Steam (PC) and has never had a console release on PlayStation, Xbox or Switch. As of 23 April 2026 the live build is Season 42, headlined by a new Hunter, The Dentist (Finsen), while the 8th Anniversary celebration that started on 26 March wraps up on 6 May 2026. Echoes are the premium currency that funds Essence pulls, direct Illusion Hall purchases and the monthly resource packages.

  • 1:1 conversion into Inspirations for the current seasonal Essence banners
  • 1:1 conversion into Sealing Wax for event banners such as Lucky Roll and Penrose Maze
  • Direct purchase of any S-tier costume for 2,888 Echoes in Illusion Hall, no gacha required
  • First-purchase x2 bonus on every Echo denomination (Double Echo)
  • Monthly Inspirations, Clues and Memory Sphere packages
  • Accessories, pets, emotes and character graphics in the in-game shop

The four currencies: Echoes, Inspirations, Clues and Sealing Wax

Identity V's economy runs on four linked currencies. Echoes are the only one bought with real money; everything else is either farmed or exchanged from Echoes. Inspirations drive Essence pulls at a strict 1:1 rate from Echoes, with one Inspiration equal to one pull. Clues are the soft currency you earn through the Logic Path d4 board, daily login, Weekly Morality Points and events — they unlock new characters and roll Memory Spheres. Sealing Wax is reserved for event banners (Lucky Roll, Moviebuff Treasure Hunt, Penrose Maze) and converts from Echoes 1:1. Reverse exchanges are blocked: Inspirations cannot be turned back into Echoes, so it pays to plan the budget before converting.

Direct S-tier purchase at 2,888 Echoes: a genre outlier

The single biggest difference between Identity V and HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail or Zenless Zone Zero is that the player always has a choice between gacha and a direct purchase. Hard pity on an S-tier costume hits at pull 250 and costs roughly 79,500 Echoes; soft pity kicks in around pull 60 and the median practical result lands at 85–95 pulls. In parallel, Illusion Hall always sells the same S-tier outfit outright for 2,888 Echoes or 12,888 Fragments, with A-tier from 1,178 Echoes during the opening week. That is a rare option in the gacha space: gamble with the 250-pull pity for a chance at an early drop, or lock the costume in at a fixed price. Identity V Essences also do not run a 50/50 — the featured S-tier is guaranteed at pull 250 with no risk of losing to a standard pool item.

Essence pity: carries within a season, resets between them

Each Identity V season ships three Essences (Essence 1, 2 and 3), spaced about three to four weeks apart. The pity counter carries across all three Essences of the same season: 200 pulls saved on Essence 1 continue on Essence 2 and 3. The base S-tier rate per pull is 1–2%, with soft pity adding roughly 0.5–1% per pull from pull 60 onward. The counter resets to zero after an S-tier drop. Between seasons — for example the Season 41 to Season 42 turnover on 23 April 2026 — pity is wiped completely. You cannot carry a count into the next season, so experienced players either finish their pity on the last Essence of the closing season or shift the budget to Memory Spheres or the Illusion Hall direct buy.

Memory Spheres are not Essences: prior-season content for Clues

Memory Spheres are a separate gacha banner and are easy to confuse with Essences. Memory Spheres are pulled with Clues, not Inspirations, and contain costumes and accessories from prior seasons — minus the last limited S-tier outfit of the immediately preceding season. They are how players catch up on collection: during Season 42, Memory Spheres cover Seasons 1–40 content, while The Dentist's current outfit is only available on Season 42 Essence 1 for Inspirations. The Memory Sphere Package in the catalogue is a monthly SKU that delivers ready Spheres for Echoes, skipping the Clues grind.

Brawl Games monthly packages: one SKU, once per month

The identity-v slug carries three monthly packages, each bought for Echoes in Illusion Hall with a hard cap of one purchase per account per month:

  • Inspirations Package — a pool of Inspirations plus side resources (often Sealing Wax and lottery coupons), aimed at players rolling the live Essences.
  • Clues Package — a large stack of Clues for Memory Spheres and character unlocks; popular with newer accounts that still have many Survivors and Hunters locked.
  • Memory Sphere Package — pre-rolled Spheres on prior-season content with no Clues farming required.

None of these are subscriptions — Identity V has no recurring monthly product on the level of Welkin Moon or Inter-Knot Membership. Each package is a one-shot monthly SKU, and the Double Echo first-purchase bonus does not apply to them — that bonus is tied to buying Echo denominations directly.

First-purchase bonus: separate for every denomination

Double Echo applies independently to each Echo denomination — buying the 305-pack the first time grants double Echoes on that tier without affecting 690 or 6590, which keep their own one-time bonuses. Unlike Genshin, the bonus is not tied to game versions: NetEase refreshes first-purchase status on an event basis, typically around major anniversaries and large collabs. The 8th Anniversary ran from 26 March to 6 May 2026, and a refresh often lands during such events, but a specific reset date cannot be guaranteed — the status is shown directly in the Illusion Hall top-up window.

Servers and UID: what matters at checkout

Identity V runs on four servers: Asia, NA-EU (a merged region shown as America or EU/NA), Japan, and China. The Chinese server is closed to global accounts and only operates through TapTap and NetEase CN. The server is chosen once at account creation and cannot be changed: progress, Echoes, unlocked characters and friend lists do not move between servers. Top-ups are placed using UID + Server: the UID is a numeric ID, usually 9–10 digits long, visible under Settings → Account or on the profile card. A handful of services use Name + ID as a fallback identification pair, but UID + Server is the standard delivery flow. No login or password changes hands because the transaction routes by identifier rather than account sign-in. Cross-save across iOS, Android and Steam is handled by the NetEase ID or a linked social login (Google, Facebook, Apple, Twitter).

How to place an Identity V top-up

  1. Open Settings → Account in-game and copy the UID.
  2. Note which server the account sits on (Asia / NA-EU / Japan).
  3. Pick an Echo denomination or one of the monthly packages in the catalogue.
  4. Enter the UID and server, then double-check the data before payment.
  5. Complete the order — Echoes or the package contents land on the linked UID.

Related top-ups in the catalogue

  • LifeAfter — another NetEase mobile survival title, also topped up by Game ID and server with no login required.
  • Eggy Party — NetEase's party game with its own currency and the same UID-based top-up flow.
  • Dead by Daylight — Behaviour Interactive's PC and console asymmetric 1v4 horror, the genre benchmark Identity V is often compared to.
  • Genshin Impact — the gacha benchmark with 90-pull pity, 50/50 and Genesis Crystals; useful context for how Identity V's Essence model differs from the HoYoverse approach.

The Brawl Games catalogue lists Echo denominations from 60 to 6590, plus three monthly packages — Inspirations Package, Clues Package and Memory Sphere Package. Checkout requires the UID and the chosen server; payment is accepted from Russia and the CIS. The on-site chat is available before checkout for questions about a specific pack or order status.
