FAQ

Buy Monochromes for Zenless Zone Zero: packs, Inter-Knot Membership and the New Eridu City Fund

Zenless Zone Zero is HoYoverse's urban action RPG, set in New Eridu — humanity's last city standing as Hollows tear into reality. Combat runs on rapid swaps between three agents per squad, Chain Attacks and stacking Attribute Anomaly states across different elements. As of May 2026 the game is on Version 2.7 "Champions Never Fall to the Past", and Version 2.8 launches on 6 May with the Promeia and Starlight Billy banners — a Season 2 finale that also brings the long-awaited Steam release. Monochromes are the premium currency that funds Signal Search pulls on the Exclusive Channel and W-Engine Channel, plus the agent outfits sold in the Monochrome Market.

  • One-way 1:1 conversion into Polychromes — there is no path back
  • Exclusive agent outfits and themed bundles in the Monochrome Market
  • First-time x2 bonus on every Monochrome pack denomination
  • Inter-Knot Membership and New Eridu City Fund activation
  • Battery Charge top-ups for boss fights and material runs
  • Faster progress through Inter-Knot Level and the endgame stack

Monochromes and Polychromes: a one-way economy

Polychromes are the soft currency you earn from story chapters, exploration of New Eridu, daily missions and the endgame modes. Monochromes are bought with real money and convert to Polychromes strictly one to one and in one direction only — there is no way to turn Polychromes back into Monochromes. Monochromes also have their own niche: the Monochrome Market sells limited agent outfits for Zhu Yuan, Jane Doe, Evelyn and other featured agents, plus themed bundles that Polychromes simply cannot buy. The first-purchase x2 bonus applies once per denomination — six denominations of 60, 300, 980, 1980, 3280 and 6480. Buying the 980+110 pack for the first time delivers 1,960 Monochromes plus the 110 Polychromes; the next purchase of the same pack lands at the standard amount. Inter-Knot Membership and New Eridu City Fund do not get the x2 doubler.

Inter-Knot Membership: a one-off SKU, not auto-renewing

Inter-Knot Membership is a 30-day, non-recurring purchase — there is no automatic billing the way an App Store or PlayStation Plus subscription would charge. Activation grants 300 Monochromes immediately and then a daily 90 Polychromes for 30 days, which works out to 2,700 Polychromes per cycle, roughly 17 Signal Search pulls. The 30-, 90- and 180-day items in the Brawl Games catalogue are not different products with longer durations: 90 days means three concurrent activations of the base 30-day SKU, and 180 days means six. Activating the 180-day option drops 1,800 Monochromes onto the account at once (300 x 6) and then runs the daily Polychrome payout for half a year. Missed days do not roll over — daily login is the condition.

New Eridu City Fund: this is the Battle Pass, not the subscription

The New Eridu City Fund (NECF) is Zenless Zone Zero's Battle Pass, and it should not be confused with Inter-Knot Membership — they are two different products. NECF runs for one version (about 42 days, in step with the patch cycle) and contains 50 levels at 1,000 EXP each, with a weekly cap of 10,000 EXP outside seasonal missions. The free Basic Plan is on by default; the paid Growth Plan and Premium Plan unlock Encrypted Master Tapes, Resonating Cores for Drive Discs, an A-Rank W-Engine of choice and additional Polychromes. Levels 30+ also drop Great Builder's Certificates for upgrade materials. If a version is wrapping up and the pass needs catching up, a single NECF level can be purchased outright for 150 Polychromes from inside the menu.

Signal Search, 50/50 and why ZZZ has no Capturing Radiance

The gacha system is called Signal Search. On the Exclusive Channel hard pity hits at pull 90 and soft pity kicks in at pull 75, with the S-Rank rate jumping from 0.6% to about 6.6%. The first S-Rank runs on a 50/50 between the featured agent and a standard pool S-Rank. The crucial difference from Genshin: Zenless Zone Zero has no Capturing Radiance equivalent. The 50/50 is a clean 50/50 with no soft-modifier on a loss. The W-Engine Channel uses a different rule — a 75/25 favorable rate toward the featured weapon, hard pity 80, soft pity 64, and there is no Epitomized Path or Fate Points to commit to. After a 25% loss the next S-Rank guarantee automatically lands the featured W-Engine. Pity does not carry between the Exclusive Channel and the W-Engine Channel — each counter runs in isolation.

The Bangboo Channel and Boopons: the one banner you cannot top up

Bangboo are robot companions that take a dedicated slot alongside the three agents in a squad. Their banner — the Bangboo Channel — runs on its own currency called Boopons, and Boopons cannot be bought with real money in any form. They drop only from in-game events, Inter-Knot Level rewards and seasonal missions. Hard pity is 80 pulls with a guaranteed S-Rank Bangboo of choice from a roster of eight. The practical takeaway: there is no way to accelerate the Bangboo roster through Monochrome top-ups, and Bangboo pulls have to be planned separately from agent and weapon banner spending.

Attribute Anomaly and Disorder: how ZZZ combat differs from elemental reactions

Combat is not built on symmetric elemental reactions in the Genshin sense. Each attribute — Physical, Fire, Ice, Electric, Ether and Frost — fills its own gauge on an enemy and triggers a unique status: Assault, Burn, Shatter, Shock, Corruption, Frostbite. Apply a second different Anomaly while one is already active and the game triggers Disorder: a burst of damage plus Daze, scaled off the first Anomaly's stats. Timing your swaps between agents of different attributes is the core skill check, which is why ZZZ teams often run two anomaly DPS plus a support. The full agent loadout is W-Engine (the weapon, one slot), Drive Discs (a six-slot set system with 2-pc and 4-pc bonuses) and a Bangboo. The W-Engine and Drive Discs are not interchangeable — they solve different parts of the build.

Endgame: Shiyu Defense, Hollow Zero and Deadly Assault

The endgame stack rests on three linked modes. Shiyu Defense splits into Stable, Disputed and Critical Nodes, resets on the 1st and 16th of each month and pays out roughly 25–30 pulls' worth of Polychromes per full clear. Hollow Zero is the roguelite layer with Resonium buffs and a weekly reset, and it doubles as the main farm for Bangboo materials. Deadly Assault unlocks at Inter-Knot Level 40 once Shiyu Defense is open, refreshes every two weeks and demands three distinct teams across three boss fights — it is also the heaviest Polychrome dispenser. Simulated Battle Trial and Endless Tower fill in around the rotation. Battery Charge, the daily stamina, refills 1 every six minutes up to a 240 cap with overflow to 1,000; 50 Polychromes restore +60 Battery up to eight times per day on a rising cost curve.

Servers, the 10-digit UID and cross-platform play

Zenless Zone Zero runs on four servers: America, Europe, Asia and TW/HK/MO. The UID is ten digits, not nine like in Genshin: the first two digits are a UID Prefix that pins the server (10 = Asia, 13 = America, 15 = Europe, 17 = TW/HK/MO) and the remaining eight are the account number. Server choice is permanent — Polychromes, agents and progress do not migrate, and there is no support path to switch regions. The account itself is cross-platform across PC, iOS, Android, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Steam joining the list at the 2.8 release. Belgium is region-blocked due to local gacha legislation.

Stacked top-ups and the x2 bonus footnote

Catalogue entries like "(6480+1600) x3", "x5" or "x10 Monochromes" are not separate discounted SKUs — they are markers that the supplier processes three, five or ten purchases of the maximum denomination back-to-back inside a single order. If the x2 bonus has already been used on the 6480 pack, the repeat pulls in the stacked order land without doubling: the account receives N x 6480 Monochromes plus N x 1600 Polychromes. The doubler only fires once per denomination, which is why a fresh account usually runs through all six tiers with the bonus before settling on the 6480 as the working pack.

How to place a Zenless Zone Zero top-up

  1. Open the agent menu in ZZZ and copy the 10-digit UID (visible in the bottom-right corner or on the profile card).
  2. Pick the pack you need — Monochromes, Inter-Knot Membership or the New Eridu City Fund.
  3. Enter the UID and select the matching server by the first two digits (10/13/15/17).
  4. Confirm the data on the checkout page and complete payment.
  5. Wait for delivery — Monochromes and the subscription effect land on the linked UID at the next login.

  • Honkai: Star Rail — the same studio's turn-based RPG with Oneiric Shards and the Express Supply Pass, structured very much like Inter-Knot.
  • Wuthering Waves — Kuro Games' open-world action with Astrites and the Lunite Subscription, the closest competitor on swap-driven combat tempo.

The Brawl Games catalogue lists every Monochrome denomination from 60 to 6480, the Inter-Knot Membership in 30-, 90- or 180-day terms, plus the New Eridu City Fund and the stacked top-tier packs. Checkout requires the 10-digit UID and the server — no HoYoverse login or password is shared in the process. Payment is accepted from Russia and the CIS, and the on-site chat is available for questions about a specific pack or order status.
